Rules and Conditions

Of the GRTHM 2009 Storytelling Competition.

1. Only one entry per person.

2. To enter the competition submit your story to: NATT+, West Park Centre, Spen Lane, Leeds, LS16 5BE. Your story, or recording must have a completed competition label attached. Your entry must be received by the 30th June 2009. Those not received by this deadline will be disqualified. We cannot return stories after competition has finished.

3. No responsibility can be accepted for entries that are lost, delayed, damaged or not received for any reason.

4. The winners will be the entrants who are judged to have created the best story in each category in the opinion of the judging panel.

5. The panel of judges for each competition will be comprised of professional storytellers from the travelling community appointed by the NATT+ and DCSF History Month steering group.

6. The judges’ decision will be final. Winners will be notified by post, telephone or e-mail.

7. Winners in all categories can be found on the GRTHM website www.GRTHM.co.uk website shortly after the judging has finished.

8. By entering the competition the winner agrees to participate in such promotional activity and material as GRTHM may require.

9. The prize will not be transferable to another person. No part of a prize is exchangeable for cash or any other prize.

10. This competition is being run by NATT+ and DCSF, as part of the Gypsy Roma Traveller History Month 2009.

11. Any personal information collected will not be used for any purposes other than specifically competition purposes and will not be disclosed to anyone else. The winners’ names will be published on the GRTHM website after the closing date of the competition.

12. GRTHM will award prizes at a prize ceremony as part of Gypsy Roma Traveller History Month in June 2009.

13. GRTHM reserves the right to amend these rules at any time. If we do this we will publish the amended competition rules and/or specific competition rules on the GRTHM website www.GRTHM.co.uk

14. By entering this competition, applicants agree to be bound by the above terms and conditions.
