A Fifth Poster Added
A fifth poster was added to the set when showman artist Lloyd Holland finished ‘All the Fun of the Fair’ – made using flamboyant enamel paint on chamfered shutter.
Lloyd was born into a traditional showman’s family. He learned the fairground art form, first by watching his Father. He completed his first solo project at the age of fifteen. He is a member of the Showman’s Guild of Great Britain.
In the piece he’s tried to include as many colours and aspects of fairground art as possible. The effect of flamboyant enamel paint on an aluminium background in the sunlight is as distinctive as candy floss or toffee apples itself.
