Romany Poet

Kathleen Cunningham was a Romany poet who put pen to paper in order for her grandchildren never to forget where they came from.

Among her many books were Jel Akai Chavvies (Come here Children) and the Great Romany Showman which recalled the life of her Grandfather Esau Carmen. In this film made shortly before her death in 2008, she talks about her life as a writer and proud Romany poet.
