Gypsy History seminar
Persecution and Genocide: The triggers of Romani History?
Romani Studies Thomas Acton will be co-ordinating a History Seminar which will look at the Gypsy, Roma and Traveller experience of Holocaust, Genocide and persecution.
Presented by the Greenwich Traveller Education Service and the University of Greenwich.
It will be followed in the evening by the Private Viewing (with refreshments) of the exhibition of the work, depicting German Sinte before, during and after the Second World war, of the artist Otto Pankok in the Stephen Lawrence Gallery of the University.

Irish Traveller Women in London: A Celebration of History and Culture
London Irish Women’s Centre celebrates Gypsy, Roma & Traveller History Month June 2010 with an exciting new exhibition. The Exhibition features many pictures and artefacts illustrating the Irish Traveller’s way of life as well as a walk-through replica caravan. Continues until 30 June.
Monday – Friday 10:00am - 4:00pm
Paper flower making workshops will take place on Wednesdays 9th/16th/23rd June from 11:00am -1:00pm and 2:00 - 4:00pm.
The Exhibition and workshops are enjoyable for all ages and are free of charge. School groups – please call to book in advance.
