Travellers Get TV Talent Show
For weeks it's been the talk of the tabloid newspapers. Today, Travellers Times can exclusively reveal that last year's nationwide talent contest Travellers Got Talent will be repeated across Britain this summer as part of an 8 hour television series being made to undo some of the damage created by the Channel 4 mockumentary series My Big Fat Gypsy Weddings.

Government spending cuts have meant no more funding for Gypsy Roma Traveller History Month, but communities across Britain look set to continue the celebrations anyway.
The loss of funding has meant that no magazines will be produced for Gypsy, Roma and Traveller History Month this year and even this website will not be regularly updated. But if you have an event you'd like to promote you can list it yourself at the Travellers Times website.

However, the Gypsy Media Company Ltd, has paid for this website and all of the information on it to remain online until future funding to continue Gypsy, Roma and Traveller History Month is found.
Anti-hate Petition
There are some pages on the Facebook website regarding Gypsies, Roma and Travellers that despite being reported as abuse against an ethnic minority are still in place.
Chrissi Lee from the Gypsy Message Boards (www.gypsy-message-board.webs.com) has brought to our attention a petition to get Facebook to remove such pages as soon as they are reported.
The petition is designed to remind Facebook that they have a duty to uphold every individual's right to be protected from discrimination and physical harm and to urge Facebook to take all steps necessary to demonstrate that their company is not a 'third party promoter' of bigotry and prejudice.
