Leeds Gypsy and Traveller Photographic Exhibition
A photography exhibition of Leeds families is taking place in Leeds Central Library. The exhibition runs until 27th May and is a lead into Gypsy Roma Traveller History Month celebrations in Leeds in 2010. The theme is Leeds Gypsies and Travellers Then and Now and it includes old photos, artefacts, art work and new photos by young Travellers.

Celebration in Durham
Durham County Council Traveller’s Liaison Service are hosting an event to celebrate GRTHM in the Durham Room, County Hall, Durham DH1 5UL.

The event will have numerous stands displaying some of the fantastic work that has been going on across our sites in County Durham over the past 12 months:
- Travellers Liaison Service - info on both Permanent Sites & Unauthorised Encampments
- EMTAS & Education Welfare System
- Local Author & Editor John McKale
- Cultural Services - family tree’s and archivists
- Investing in Children - working with children and young people on the sites
- DISC who offer floating support
- Surestart - working with under 5’s and their families
- Elected Members, DCC employees, Heads of Service, residents and members of the public are all invited to come along and view the stands at the drop in session between 10am - 2pm.

Saturday June 26th
Baildon Green Gypsy Fair
Come and discover the rich Gypsy heritage. Organised by Bradford Gypsy Voice with support from Bradford Council. This event is taking place on Baildon Green, the historic site for Gypsy Fairs, the last one being held in 1937.
Time
11.00am - 4.00pm
There will be a traditional Gypsy camp which will include bow top painted living wagons. Alongside there will be traditional crafts demonstrations, services and information stalls. There will also be a number of independent commercial stalls. In addition there will be a traditional palmist and a celebrity guest.
Throughout the day there will be entertainment provided by various community groups.
