Events
Oldham: Roma display at the Centre for Professional Development on Rosary Road.
Salford: The poster competition was successfully run in some of Salford's secondary schools (including workshops with art teachers) which has been a great success. They are holding a regional prize giving ceremony on June 11th at the EMTAS base with a senior officer from Children's Services giving out the prizes. Following this the posters are going to be displayed at the Broadwalk Library in central Salford from the middle of June.
There is also to be a launch of a DVD that the young Travellers have made throughout the month of June.
Wigan: Exhibitions in local libraries and the Town Hall at Leigh - including poster displays.
Discussions in schools using a DVD made with local Traveller families.
Saturdays in June: Drop in Activities at the Bolton Museum

Exhibition at Rosary Road, Fitton Hill, Bolton
11th June: Trafford at Partington Primary School
Moss View Road, 4.30pm to 6.30pm
Wagons Roll – premiere evening of Gypsy wagon made by young people of Trafford as a learning resource for Trafford schools
Saturday 14th June: Open Day at Fytton arms pub on Fitton Hill, Oldham.
License Tracey Ward is of Irish Traveller heritage. There will be fun events for families during the day and Irish entertainment in the evening. Tracey will also be speaking to school children about her life as a Traveller.
Monday June 16th: Art in Oldham Schools
Lloyd Holland – A Showman and artist will demonstrate his art in Oldham schools. Lloyd will bring examples of his art stencils and paints and show how he works his magic.
25th June: Bolton Town Hall
Awards ceremony delivered by local community member.
28th June: Town Hall Square Bolton
Celebration Day – traditional crafts, music, dancing, recording histories, marquee with displays etc., culmination of heritage lottery fund project.
30th June: A Celebration of Gypsy, Roma and Traveller Culture’
